When you have developed as many slots as NetEnt, you run into an interesting problem. There are entire generations of players that have never tried some of your greatest hits. Rather than simply updating the visuals and launching them as they are, the developers opt for a different strategy. They will re-make the game and keep the elements they consider make it great. However, they will also make adjustments and remove some things as needed. We see this with Divine Fortune Megaways, which keeps all of its special features but no longer has access to a progressive jackpot.
As with a great deal of re-releases, the developers decided not to change the visuals too much. If you played the original, everything should seem familiar. Except now, all the animations have been spruced up to look better! The background image is mostly the same; the update is more focused with animations and the glow that appears after a win. While a definite improvement, it is nothing mind-blowing. The original is relatively recent, so it was not in much need of a visual upgrade. Now let’s delve deeper into this new Labslots review.

How it Works
You play Divine Fortune Megaways on a six-reel board with up to 117649 ways to win. The online slot uses the Megaways format, meaning the height of each row changes with every spin. In order to achieve the maximum ways to win, you need all six reels to be seven symbols tall. Wins are granted by finding three or more matching icons next to one another. All winning combinations must follow an active payline and must start with the leftmost reel. NetEnt use their new layout in this game. Through it, we can spin the reels, set up Auto Play and Turbo Mode, change our bet and look at the paytable. We can also toggle sound on or off, and open the options in the bottom left corner of the screen. Players can wager between £0.10 and £100.00 on each spin.
Symbol designs have been kept unchanged from the original release. Once again, icons are split into lower value playing card royals and higher value mythology symbols. The playing card royals have been stylised to look like Greek letters, which is a nice touch. Other icons we can find on the board are hawks, minotaur, lions and medusa. Pegasus is a Wild, a hand holding a lightning bolt is a Scatter, and a coin is a bonus symbol.
Divine Fortune Megaways Bonus Rounds
Any time a Wild lands on the playing field, it grants a Falling Wild re-spin. Wilds will nudge one position down and then grant a re-spin. This repeats until the Wild disappears from the playing field entirely! Re-spins can continue if another Wild appears during the bonus. You also get one final re-spin once no more Wilds are present on the playing field.
Punters can benefit from an enhancement of this special feature called the Wild on Wild bonus. Wilds can appear on any position: including other Wilds! When this happens, the Wild on Wild special feature triggers. This expands the current Wild to completely cover the reel in Wild stacks. These stacks are also subject to the Falling Wild re-spins. This means you could net yourself quite a few re-spins, if the Wild on Wild bonus occurred on a fully expanded reel.
Land four, five or six Scatters to win ten, fifteen or twenty free spins. Each extra triggering Scatter grants five additional free spins to the total tally. For the duration of free spins, Pegasus Wilds will now immediately activate the Wild on Wild bonus.
Find three coin bonus icons during free spins to fill their respective meters above the screen. The coins are bronze, silver or gold, and you need five of them to complete the corresponding meter. This grants the fixed jackpot hidden behind those meters. Bronze, silver or gold jackpots grant 10x, 25x or 500x your total bet. Unlike its predecessor, there are no progressive jackpot wins.
If you enjoyed the original Divine Fortune for its progressive jackpot, you may not be a fan of the Megaways version. However, all the other elements that made it so fun to play have been preserved. There are plenty of fun special features to be enjoyed, and a 10,000x jackpot is still something to be excited by! We did enjoy it, but we would be lying if we did not miss the progressive jackpot. If that is not a deal breaker for you, then we suggest checking this NetEnt slot out. Check out our list of slot sites to see where you can try it out!
