UK Genesis Casino Player Bags £2.7M Mega Moolah Jackpot

A Genesis Casino player from the UK has struck it lucky by scooping the top jackpot prize on progressive jackpot slot Mega Moolah.

The unnamed player became the latest Mega Moolah millionaire when they hit the jackpot on November 8th, winning a staggering £2,772,916.45 (€3,252,353.70).

Seven-figure win

The most recent player to bag a seven-figure payout on the progressive jackpot slot by Microgaming, they won the £2,772,916.45 with a £6.26 (€7.25) bet and will receive the jackpot amount as a lump sum. They have chosen to remain anonymous.

Microgaming CEO Andrew Clucas said: “Congratulations to Genesis Casino and the lucky winner on this truly life-changing win. Mega Moolah has once again delivered an amazing payout”.

“Our industry-leading progressive jackpot network has now paid out €1.1 billion and continues to lead the way, offering players thrilling and rewarding gameplay experiences”, he continued.

The Genesis Casino player is the tenth to win a seven- or eight-figure jackpot on Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network this year – more than £40 million in total. As well as the top jackpot, some 570 players won £8,000 or more in 2019. The progressive jackpot network has paid out in excess of £100 million over 1.7 million individual wins since the start of 2019.

Genesis Casino has only been in existence since 2018, but in that short time has made its mark on the online casino landscape.

Ariel Reem, CEO of Genesis Casino, congratulated the lucky winner, saying: “We’re ecstatic for the player on their massive win on the Mega Moolah jackpot! It’s been a thrilling ride, but one lucky player had to strike – congratulations from everyone at Genesis Casino!”

A history of big wins

This latest Mega Moolah win coincides with the game’s 13th anniversary. Since being released in 2006, the Microgaming progressive jackpot slot Mega Moolah has created several millionaire winners.

In 2015, another UK player, Jon Heywood, won €17.8 million (£13.2 million) playing Mega Moolah. The win earned the Guinness World Records title for the ‘Largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game’. That record was blown out of the water in September 2018 when a Grand Mondial Casino player hit the Mega Moolah jackpot, winning €18.9 million on a 75 cent bet.

Mega Moolah is just one of many progressive jackpot slots now available to players. Others include Hall of Gods, with an average jackpot of £5 million, Mega Fortune, which features a standard jackpot amount of £2 million, and Arabian Nights, where jackpot wins most commonly sit at around £1 million.
